British Homes Awards 2025: A Year for Built Environment Excellence
The British Homes Awards 2025, held on Thursday, November 6th, concluded with a resounding affirmation of quality, innovation, and sustainable practice across the residential built environment. The ceremony, a focal point for architects, designers, and developers, celebrated the outstanding contributions of a diverse range of finalists and winners, judged by a respected panel chaired by Jay Morton, Director at Bell Phillips.
Furthermore, Coffey's standard of excellence overall in the work submitted earned them two additional, highly prestigious accolades. The crowning achievement for the practice was the highly coveted 'Judges Award for Excellence' for The Tannery in Bermondsey, London. This particular project stood out above all other winners, clearly distinguishing itself through its exemplary design and execution, and representing a benchmark for residential architecture.
The architectural firm PRP also demonstrated significant sector expertise, securing an impressive treble of major accolades. The firm was awarded for its exceptional versatility, taking home awards in Best Garden/Landscaping Design for Signal Park, Later Living/Supported Living Design of the Year for Wycliffe Park, and Regeneration Scheme of the Year for Huntley Wharf. This success across distinct categories underscores PRP's commitment to delivering integrated, high-quality residential environments across the board.
In the realm of public sector development, the London Borough of Camden was rightly highlighted for its homebuilding ambition, securing recognition for its Agar Grove Phase 1C project. This spotlight on a local authority affirms the importance of high-calibre, publicly-led residential delivery.
Furthermore, Studio Hagen Hall was celebrated for its distinct contribution to residential interiors, securing the award for Interior Design. The commitment to future-focused practice was also lauded, with Eeko earning the prestigious title of Sustainable Project of the Year, praised for its unwavering dedication to sustainability and tangible community-focused efforts.
The 2025 Awards saw a notably strong field of finalists, a testament to the resilience and creative strength of the sector. Our sincere thanks and appreciation go out to all the companies who submitted their incredible work, sharing their vision and dedication with the built environment community.
We also extend our profound gratitude to our esteemed panel of industry-leading and respected judges, led by chair judge Jay Morton, for their time, diligence, and expertise in reviewing such a high volume of quality submissions.
