Director , Rodić Davidson Architects

Siniša Rodić is a Director of Rodić Davidson Architects, a London-based architecture, design and interiors studio specialising in design-led refurbishment and new build projects. He oversees design across a diverse portfolio, working at the intersection of heritage, contemporary architecture and complex planning contexts, both urban and rural. Alongside practice, Siniša has contributed to architectural education, previously teaching at the University of East London on the Urban Design MA and Diploma Studio. He has been invited as a critic at a number of UK schools of architecture, including the Architectural Association, Bartlett, Bath, Cardiff, Oxford and Cambridge, and is currently an External Examiner at the University of Brighton. He studied at the Architectural Association in London, where he was nominated for the RIBA President's Medal and awarded the AA Diploma with Honours.

Why do you think the British Homes Awards are important? How to they stand out against other awards in the industry?

They bring together the full picture of what goes into housing - not just architecture, but delivery, coordination and the contribution of different disciplines. That breadth matters. It allows projects to be considered in terms of how they actually come together and perform, rather than as isolated design ideas. The focus on completed work also gives the awards a degree of rigour - you're looking at outcomes that people live in, not proposals.
