Ashwin Goyal
Associate Director , AHMM
Ashwin Goyal is an architect with over 20 years of experience, working with a variety of scales, budgets, sectors which include residential, commercial, aviation, interior design, and master planning. Ashwin has worked at Foster+Partners, Will Alsop, Page/Park, and RMJM. In 2014, Ashwin joined AHMM to lead and develop projects. Ashwin is the Project Associate Director for Bream Street (Lock No. 19), a mixed-use residential-led regeneration development in Fish Island, London. He is also the Project Associate Director for 225 City Road (The Arc), a 22 storey mixed use tower with 100 residential units and over 140,000 sqft of office space. Lastly, He is the Project Associate Director for Central House (The Rowe), a 12 storey part façade retention 150,000sqft office building opposite the Whitechapel Gallery in Aldgate East. He has also worked on a number of success design led competitions which include regeneration of Northumberland Park Estate in Haringey, the Civic Centre for London Borough of Tower Hamlets in Whitechapel, and recently co-led the winning office design for Wembley Park plot W10. At AHMM , Ashwin also leads up the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion external engagement working group which includes developing relationships with external organisations such as the RIBA, ARB, Paradigm, Blueprint for All, Architecture Foundation, BITC, and others. Recently, he is also leading up a social value working group to develop an inhouse toolkit. He also recently joined AHMM's people board to advise and contribute in the strategic development of the practices culture, staff, and recruitment. He is also part of the management group with a focus on policy change at the Architecture Race Forum which brings together over 50 practices in the UK to improve EDI in the profession. Ashwin also is active in academia as a regular critic at the Welsh School of Architecture in Cardiff for Unit XX. In 2020 and 2021, Ashwin was a judge for the British Home Awards. This year, Ashwin joint the Design Review Panel for Brent Council.
