Shevaughn is the Managing Partner at Farrells London, her vast development experience and construction knowledge support her in the position of operational responsibility for the practice. She was awarded Female Leader of the year at the Building Awards in 2019 whilst 37 weeks pregnant! She is the diversity champion for the office and strongly believes in a flexible working culture, empowering people to grow their role and in finding a work life balance. Shevaughn's project experience is primarily in the post planning stages. She is passionately committed to driving projects from scheme design through to completion, whilst her experience and precise aptitude in problem solving allow her to lead large multi-disciplinary teams. Though Shevaughn's projects are primarily residential, her diverse knowledge within the industry allows her to provide key advice on all projects, with a particular focus on contractual processes and procedures. Shevaughn also sits on the board for the OPDC where she is actively involved in pushing forward the delivery of a new part of London. Her goal is to ensure the development has a strong sense of place and connectedness both to its existing neighbourhoods and more widely. She joined the Mentoring circle as a mentor to female professionals, addressing the gender diversity gap at senior level leadership within the Property industry. Shevaughn is a mum of two and has spent the last five years getting to grips with balancing those new responsibilities with her professional career whilst finding the best play parks and early morning coffees.
What are you most looking forward to about judging this year's British Homes Awards and, as a judge, what are you looking for in the work?
