Mark Lucas
Director, Architects and Designers , 1050 Architects
Mark co-founded 1050 Architects with Stef and Claire in 2024, having worked at director or partner level in various London based practices over the years and is a RIBA chartered architect. He has successfully worked on and delivered numerous projects at various scales in several sectors throughout his career, particularly those concerning residential multi-unit developments and commercial offices, both in the UK and overseas. These have ranged from concept design and planning application stages through to technical design and construction with many involving conservation areas, heritage assets or listed buildings. With his background in both architecture and law, Mark also handles the procedural and management systems within the company and has contributed to RIBA contracts and academic textbooks in the past. He also works as a visiting lecturer and RIBA Student Mentor too having mentored and taught undergraduates and postgraduates from Cambridge University and the University of Hertfordshire for many years. More recently, he has been a lecturer in legal matters and Part 3 Examiner at University College London Bartlett School of Architecture.
