  • Make sure you read through the category criteria

Use the entry kit to your advantage as it contains everything you need to know about putting together your entry. Read it, and then read it again, make sure you know the entry process inside out.

  • Stand out from the crowd

Judges want to see your innovative, engaging and inspirational submissions, make it interesting, show us how much energy and excitement you have. When composing your statement, consider the following qualities that the judges will be looking for: design quality; relationship with and contribution to context; innovation in design and delivery; and ability to meet the needs of the target market.

  • What is your objective?

Be clear with your message. We want you to tell us why your entry deserves to win. What sets you apart from the rest of the industry? The presentations are NOT anonymous. Feel free to incorporate your firm’s name and logo where appropriate.

  • Include details

Please incorporate text including the key challenges of the client brief and how your design addressed it – include bullet points and short sentences where possible. Incorporating text and outlining the positive environmental elements of the design including demonstrating the use of sustainable energy sources, building materials as well as maintaining sustainable best practices in terms of land use.

  • Presentation is key

Show the site clearly in its surroundings and show orientation (north point). Judges always like to see how a project responds to its environment. Include large images of your project from all sides. There are no border restrictions on printing so feel free to design your 5 sides with either a border or full bleed.
