Wood Wharf

Canary Wharf Group

Wood Wharf is a new 23-acre neighbourhood within the wider Canary Wharf estate. It is already home to over 3,500 residents and, once complete, it will provide up to 3,600 homes, 350,000 sq. ft. of shops and restaurants, two million sq. ft. of office space, a new NHS Doctors’ surgery, two primary schools and a nursery.

Wood Wharf features some of the most architecturally significant buildings in the UK, including One Park Drive, a 58-storey building designed by world-renowned architects Herzog & de Meuron. Other major residential buildings include 10 Park Drive, designed by Stirling Prize winning architects Stanton Williams, and Build to Rent (BTR) developments 10 George Street and 8 Water Street. These apartment buildings provide homes for open market sale and BTR tenures. Wood Wharf’s intermediate and affordable housing is managed by Canary Wharf Communities. Canary Wharf Communities own and operate 30 Harbord Square, 50 Harbord Square and 65 Harbord Square, which collectively provide more than 300 apartments at either Tower Hamlets Standard Rents or at 80% of local market rents. For leisure, the Estate is home to an eclectic range of venues, including Capital Karts, GoBoats and open water swimming. FairGame opened last year, whilst this summer CWG will be opening Padium, the premium padel club. Additionally, residents and visitors benefit from the wider amenities found across Canary Wharf, including 300 shops, bars and restaurants, the UK’s largest free-to-visit award-winning public art collection, and over 100 culturally inspired events each year, most of which are free.
