Willowside Grange is a bespoke development of just five brand new homes set in a semi-rural Cotswold Village close to Cheltenham. The development was built on a site of former disused farm buildings and dilapidated stables.

The opportunity was to design and create five completely new homes to the very highest standards but also to consider the beautiful location, excellent views and rustic nature of the site. Castlethorpe Homes designed a development with three distinct house types, one large farmhouse, two semi-detached 'cottages' and two barrel roof Dutch barns. Each of the house types was externally traditional but had three separate specifications, playing to each of the styles of the homes but internally the houses were cutting edge in their execution and highly sustainable with the very best local materials, new ways of working and an array of sustainability features, many to improve the lifestyle for the homeowners and create beautiful, sustainable and first class homes, that were benefiting the homeowners and cheaper to run. The main driver for the development was to create homes that fit into the historic location but that generated truly modern homes where thought had gone into every aspect of each home.
