Tiger Way is a mixed-use scheme providing a new 2FE primary should with nursery and 89 high quality apartments. The site is in Hackney overlooking Hackney Downs Park. working with the Local Education Partnership, involving multiple stakeholder groups. The private sale of the apartments helped to fund the school and overcome budgetary constraints. This innovative typology provided much-needed primary school spaces for the London Borough of Hackney.

The schemes needed to work well independently from one another with regards to management as well as having their own identity yet feel united in their built outcome. We wanted to celebrate this hybrid building. Combing these two uses was a challenge on a tight site and was overcome by separating the uses both horizontally and vertically and utilising the roof spaces to residential amenity and school play.
