A comprehensive refurbishment has turned streets of unloved Victorian terraces in Toxteth into a neighbourhood of homes for private rent. These homes, which were originally slated for demolition, have been remodelled from their original ‘two up, two down’ form to give 299 two, three and four bedroom homes, under the design by architect MCAU. The streetscene has been softened with landscaping and rear yards transformed. These once empty and neglected homes are now in demand.
