Take a look at why Rathbone Market Phase 3 by Project Orange and English Cities Fund took home the Award for Development of the year (more than 200 homes):
Rathbone Market is part of a major regeneration programme aimed at transforming an area of east London’s Canning Town and Custom House. Providing 216 mixed tenure homes, architect Project Orange’s design for English Cities Fund comprises three linked blocks, arranged in a C-configuration. The architect said its key driver was to design a scheme that had, “a sense of place, that is approachable and is somewhere to call home”. Homes sit alongside a new school and community centre and public open spaces, and the masterplan includes a new retail hub.
